I work in the area and this was my first time trying Jasmine Thai . I must say , I'm impress with their lunch specials . Pad Thai is good and the fried rice was great . I'll definitely return to try out and all the different varieties they have . The Thai ice tea is a must 10/10 for the Thai tea .

In short: good food, variable service
We love their curries and that you can get them with tofu or mock duck as the protein options. Our favorite is the panang curry, with its red curry base and nutty flavor. Our son likes the massaman curry, which is a good stew of potatoes and carrots.
Ambiance is pretty cool, with bright colors that make the dark space more inviting. Music plays in the background, sometimes too loudly.
Service is hit or miss, and usually miss, whether it's the timing of the food (last time, my spouse and I got our food together, but our son had to wait another five minutes for his dish) or waiting to pay your check.
Overall: A-OK -

We rode bikes here for lunch. The place was nearly empty. We had fried tofu and spring rolls for appetizers. I had Thai chicken fried rice that was really tasty. We also had phad thai and red curry. All of the dishes were tasty. Our waitress was helpful so the whole experience was great.

I don't spend much time in Northeast/Columbia Heights and was meeting a friend for dinner. With her living so close to this location, she said it was a "must try." I'm really picky when it comes to restaurants I've never been to before because you never know what to expect. When you enter this restaurant, you can automatically tell it'snot exactly a 5 star restaurant. The carpet is covered in food and the seating is a bit of a mess. Why restaurants still have carpeting in their dining area continues to baffle me. Our server was the only server. There were about 6 or 7 full tables for dinner (around 6 P.M.) The menu was pretty standard for a Thai place and I was so excited to find out that they had duck on their menu. If you haven't tried duck, I suggest you do! I ordered their fried rice with duck and I was BLOWN AWAY. The duck was so fresh! The dish was so flavorful and delicious that I ate it all. Except for some tomatoes and onions - I'm not too crazy about veggies. I would definitely come here again. It's a VERY casual environment and the service really isn't that great. However, the food is fantastic and totally worth it.

This is one of our faves! All the dishes and drinks we've tried, we've enjoyed. Best Tom Kha in town.
